Let’s face it; we all want that ultimate goal of one day living off of our passive income ventures, whether it’d be stocks, blogging, or any other online business that you’re working on. Just think about it, you’re lying on the beach in the Virgin Islands somewhere without a care in the world while you’re keep getting paid without even lifting a finger. Wouldn’t that be great? Let me tell you something, it is great but it is not easy and not for everybody.
There are however, some of us out there who would prefer to actually go to a job and work 8 hours a day and get paid for it. For the rest of us, which would you prefer? Work 8 hours a day and get paid, or spend those 8 hours a day working on your own projects, on your own terms and see money constantly rolling in after that?
It takes hard work. Maybe even harder than working for somebody else but that is the whole idea of passive income. You work hard now and reap the rewards afterward plus you can then go and do whatever it is that you like to do. Go to the beach and relax, your work is done, now comes the money!
Now comes the downsides. Yes downsides, because there’s always a possibility that something can go wrong.
- You chose the wrong niche for your blog and worked extra hard but it just never took off.
- Your stocks plummeted.
- Bad real estate location if you’re into real estate.
- People may not really care for what you do at all.
So you’re asking where to go from here when everything else just seems to go wrong? The only thing you can do is move forward and on to that great idea that you have next, but never give up. That’s when you truly fail. Just be consistent and keep your focus because the more chances you take, the greater your success.
Passive income to me is all about freedom to do what I please and just enjoy life with my wife and kid(in a couple of years). The only way to get there is work my butt off now and make the money later. You’re probably already working hard for somebody right now, why do that when you can work hard for yourself? Never let fear comes in the way of your dreams so take chances and enjoy the life you deserve.
